Depth of Ranger px3 tub

Post by Tom123 »

G’day all,
Just hoping someone would be able to whip out the tape measure on their px3 ranger fitted with the factory electric roller shutter and tell me the exact depth from under the shutter. Looking to get a fridge in there but have heard mixed answers on how much height there really is and none with the new electric shutter.

49cm on mine. There is a little bit more straight under, but the edge at the tail gate is a bit lower than the shutter itself, so 49cm would be max.

Mine is the same as BlkWildtrak. Measures 490mm from the top of the ribs on the tub liner to the lowest point of the electric roller shutter.
If you're buying a new fridge there are certainly a few that will easily fit.
If you're trying to use an exisiting fridge then it may be a challenge, especially if you want it on a fridge slide.

I've got a Waeco CFX50 and I'm still trying to work out how to make that fit on a fridge slide.
The fridge is about 471mm high, but most slides add 25mm or more (some a lot more!) which then won't fit, so I'm trying to find the right slide that will work.

It'd be easier to just buy a new fridge, but the Waeco has hardly been used so can't justify buying another fridge. Alternatively getting rid of the tub liner would give more height, but with the integrated roller shutter button and the dust seals fitted to the tub liner (which seam to work reasonably well) I'm reluctant to go down that route.

Perfect cheers fellas.

I’m going to have the same issue with the slide, I’m looking at getting a domestic cfx3 45 which is 47.6cm high leaving not enough for any current slide I can find on the market. Will deal with that at a later date

If you haven't bought the fridge yet I'd just buy a different fridge.
Save yourself the headache.

I’ve had a look around and really am set on the dometic, I think I’ll make do without the fridge slide as will only be using it for weekend camp trips.

Fridge slide not reqd. Adds a ton of weight and expense. The dometic cfx 40 should fit easily. Great fridge
