I've learned recently of a fun way to experiment with colours of rims, mirrors, grills...even whole panels (bonnet)....

My mate recently sprayed the mirrors red on his white Lotus...

I bring you Plasti Dip! Have fun :)

Here's where you buy it...(no, i dont work there)
http://www.autobarn.com.au/plasti-dip-d ... er-coating

Here's some examples of it. When you get bored of it, you just peel it off and start again! It can work as a protectant to your panels if youre going offroad for a weekend!

Good one Rocket, yeah went overboard on the concrete , but for a reason. I live on acreage and a few snakes around, see them easier on concrete. 3 eastern browns last week, had to get one out of garage myself!

Got it back. Lots of Mods.

The Suspension Lift achieved 50-55 mm (before it sags a little with the new gear on).

Overall Very Happy, although I have had it back less than 24 hours, so still really need to break her in.

Here are the photos :

Could you post up some close-up/higher resolution photos of the tyre and wheel combination? :) You fitted Cooper Zeon LTZ? right?

I mounted my UHF Radio this morning. Very Happy with the location. I went with the Oricom 180 because I have used this model before and also because it has a speaker built into the hand piece.

Main Unit mounted under dash. I placed the connector plug within the coin drawer and fed the microphone cable through the hole for the release mechanism.

They are perfectly flush, maybe a fraction inside the fenders...

Unnoticeable. I drove 400 km yesterday on the Highway and was surprised at how quiet these tyres are. I turned radio off to see if I could hear anything but all I could hear was the normal noise you would hear from any tyre on a highway doing 110 kmh (i.e. could not really hear them over the air rushing past the vehicle at that speed). Low speeds around town, no different either. This is one of the reasons I chose this Tyre. My Scangauge also showed Fuel consumption at 9.4 lphk, so, if accurate, no impact fuel economy either. Time will tell, but I like this tyre.

Installed the TyreDog TPMS today.

I made a clip that screws onto the back of the TPMS so it will clip into the 'card holder' on the dash. It clips in and out easily to can be kept out of sight when not in use.

Looks the treat Andrew. It was worth the wait eh?? Did you decide not to go withthe Drifta drawers?? I see you have installed the flase floor and fridge slide instead. You have been busy with it as it already looks different then it did in the first pics. Has it been dirty yet??? And you are right the white wildtraks look great. But us with our metro gunmetal grey blue are still the best

Hi Tex!

I am Very Happy with it, well worth the wait! Decided to keep the Roller Shutter and therefore the Drifta Drawers would have been overkill, and also take up too much room. The set up I have installed is simple, and works very well for me. Yes, I got straight into the mods, I am not one to do things by halves! It will get dirty last week of March, taking her on a Road Trip to Tamworth & Bathurst for a look see. Once the weather cools down (still in the 30's here in SEQ), I will plan a longer trip. Wife says I retired way too young and sick of me being home all the time, so I have the green light to disappear as often as I want now the Ranger has arrived.... :D

I have gone for a very simple camping set up, I wanted a Roof Top Tent, but decided against it, and will post some pics when I am on the trip...

I have a Texan staying with me this coming weekend, a school friend I haven't seen in 25 years, on their way back to Texas via Brisbane!

What a simple and cheap Mod ($25).

Welcome to the white wildtrak club, the Ute looks great. Well done with the mods you have had some time to think about them. Also great to hear about the tyres as the were a hot topic a while back.

Aint they great. I got a 5 metre roll off ebay for $13 and this weekend I am putting a strip under the foxwing, strips down both sides of the canopy and a strip along the inside of the back canopy window, all wired to a small fuse box attached to the drawers and wired into the dual battery with rocker switches on the end of the drawer side piece. All up aboout $50, a couple of beers and a pleasant Saturday afternoon. 8-) :D

Oh and enjoy your retirement and free reign to do what you want, lucky bas- - -

I think I ordered the same LED Strip lights. The double sided tape that comes with them is absolute crap, my tip is get some genuine 3m auto adhesive double sided tape off eBay and use that instead. I bought the 10mm by 5m roll for under $5....although the LED strip light is waterproof the tape they put on them isn't!
